Tea Or Coffee? That is the Question

When you wake up in the morning, your mind is still asleep. You force yourself to shower and get ready for work and college, but it is not until you have had breakfast that you actually wake up. Have you ever wondered exactly why breakfast is so important? It is because your breakfast includes a large mug of coffee or tea. People have begun to believe that their day cannot go well without a strong cup of coffee or tea in the morning.  Oh, you are also from that category of people. Well, then you are in for a treat!

There are various different types of tea available. Tea is basically made with tea leaves. The four major types of tea are white, black, green and oolong. All of these teas come from leaves of the same plant, the Camellia sinensis. The differences in the types are of how they are processed. The leaves of this plant soon wilt and oxidize if they are not timely dried. The leaves turn darker as their chlorophyll breaks down. The next step is to stop the oxidation by heating the leaves. The teal leaves must be kept in precise temperature; otherwise, moisture may cause fungi to grow on it.

Different teas are classified according to the different processes they have undergone. Some teas are wilted and unoxidized, while some are wilted, crushed and fully oxidized. These processes offer different taste and benefits as well. Do you find yourself dealing with digestive problems? Green tea is helpful in clearing the digestive system, drink it. However, the black tea is usually used in breakfast or lunch and contains more caffeine then other teas. Black tea can be taken as it is or with some milk as well. Some of the brands have also now launched flavored teas such as caramel or lemon flavored teas. Some teas can also be taken cold, but the beverage usually is taken hot. The tea is the second most common beverage in North America, the first being coffee.
